Peach Chinese chestnuts (Castanea mollissima ‘Peach’) are valued by nut growers for their high yield distinct flavor and fuzzy nuts. The cultivar produces medium to large-sized nuts with a some of the sweetest and rich flavor available to Chinese chestnuts. Trees exhibit strong resistance to chestnut blight and have moderate to high tolerance to cold, making them suitable for temperate climates and growing zones up to 5a. Nut maturation occurs in mid to late season, with a shorter nut dropping period that can simplify harvest.
